We've been on the go the last couple of weeks....Last week we were in Carlsbad, CA. I had to attend a ShoreTel Conference at this fancy resort and we thought it would be good to extend our vacation time this year by having everyone come along. Aside from the room being a little small for all of us and having less than sunny weather, it was very nice.
We stayed at the La Costa Resort which had some great pools and was not far from the beach.
One afternoon, after finishing up early from a training class we went out to Coronado Beach. I really miss it. We visited this same spot last December while staying in San Diego. Strangely, it was about the same temperature back then as it was on this visit. It has a special charm that is difficult to describe. On this trip we did some of the same fun things we did last time. The sand was a hit for Kiley. She kept saying "soft, soft..." as she touched it. I couldn't think of a better way to describe it. Her vocabulary is amazing. It may be the same for most kids her age, i'm not sure, but it seems incredibly extensive. Anyway we had some fun on the beach. Kiley with her sand toys, Sydney strolling on the beach with her mama, and Jake making sure that I was worn out by having me chase him through the dunes. Which by the way, and I didn't know this until today, spells out Coronado from the sky. One of the boys we ran into while there mentioned it to Jake and I had to look it up cause I thought that was pretty cool.
